Recipe #1: Matcha Steamed Bread

Ingredients (15cm slices)

Making It

  1. 1. Place the cake mix, sugar, matcha in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  2. 2. Afterwards, place the egg and soybeans in and continue mixing.
  3. 3. Warm up the steam cooker
  4. 4. When ready, cut out the mix into cookie shapes and set inside the cooker.
  5. 5. Steam on low heat for about 30 minutes. Check periodically for even cooking.

Notes from the chef

For those concerned about using sugar, it can be omitted for an even healthier variation.

Recipe #2: Agar Matcha Jelly

Ingredients

Making It

  1. 1. Put the agar and water in a pot and bring to a boil. Let it dissolve. Afterwards, turn off the heat and mix sugar in.
  2. 2. Place the matcha powder in a bowl and gradually add the milk. Ensure it's not clumping while mixing.
  3. 3. Put the agar from step #1 into the bowl and continue mixing.
  4. 4. Place the mix in a glass jar and cool in a refrigerator.

Be sure that the agar is fully dissolved before proceeding.
