When asked, “What do you want to eat in Hawaii?” The most frequent answer is “steak”. It’s best to have this at a fine restaurant, however.

Close to “Matcha stand Maiko” on Kuhio Street is the supermarket “FOOD PANTRY” with a special steak lunch. Very famous and reasonable.

You can choose from regular or brown rice as well as a green salad or potato salad.

Most importantly: there are several varieties of steak as well.

After having some steak, be sure to have some dessert at “Matcha stand Maiko”.
